Biography

M. Yousof Naderi is currently Associate/Senior Research Engineer in Next Generation Networks and Systems Lab (GENESYS) that is directed by Prof. Kaushik Chowdhury at Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Northeastern University, Boston, MA. He received his Ph.D. from Northeastern University in December 2015.

His expertise and research interests lie in wireless networking and systems, wireless energy transfers and harvesting, and building integrated hardware and software solutions for next-generation cyber-physical systems. He is the recipient of the NSF Innovation-Corps (I-Corps) award, Northeastern dissertation completion fellowship (DCF) award, and outstanding reviewer awards, from Elsevier Computer Communications Journal in Feb 2015, and Elsevier Ad-Hoc Networks Journal in Jan 2016.

He has served as the technical committee member of IEEE VTC 2015, IFIP Wireless Days 2016 and 2017, and IEEE WONS 2014, and organizing committee member of IEEE DCOSS 2013, DCOSS 2014, and DCOSS 2016, as well as NEWSDR 2017. He served as a reviewer for more than 70 academic papers in journals and conferences such as IEEE Journal of Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Computers, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Sensors Journal, and INFOCOM 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017.

Current Research Interests

His research expertise is primarily in the design and experimentation of novel network protocols, algorithms, and analytical models specialized for wireless networks, energy harvesting sensor networks, and cyber-physical systems.
