Esra Yolacan


About Me

I am a Ph.D candidate at Northeastern University in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I received my Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Gazi University in Turkey and my Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Erciyes University in Turkey.  


My research advisor is Professor David Kaeli and I am a member of the Northeastern University Computer Architecture Research Group (NUCAR).

My current research includes computer and network security. I am currently working on applying machine learning and data mining techniques on the sequential datasets. My research addresses the issues including workload characterization, feature extraction, feature selection, noise in the data, and online anomaly detection.
